HYPNOSIS + ACUPUNCTURE THERAPIES
with Sara Wendt + Deborah Stotzky
Experience the combination and integration of Hypnosis + Acupuncture Therapies in one profoundly healing evening. We will tap into the power of the group environment as we each receive an ear acupuncture treatment and are gently guided into a deeply relaxing state of hypnosis. This evening is sure to leave us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!
The practices of Hypnosis and Acupuncture approach healing the body and mind in different, but very complimentary ways. Acupuncture affects change through the portal of the physical and energy body while Hypnosis does so through relaxing the conscious mind so that the subconscious mind can be accessed. By combining the two, in a sense, we will be leaving no stone unturned. The combination can affect a deep, long lasting release of stress, anxiety, depression, insomnia and addictive behaviors. And create a profound sense of well-being!
A little bit about Hypnosis and Sara Wendt:
Hypnosis is a tool to access our deeper, more flexible and powerful states of mind. These states of mind are actually very normal and natural to us – we shift in and out of them everyday when we are concentrating on something and we temporarily “lose ourselves.” When our minds are in this more subtle state, a profound mental and physical relaxation can occur which can have a deeply healing effect on the mind and the body.
In this more subtle state, clients are often completely aware of their surroundings (conscious mind), and yet their attention is drawn and focused more inward (subconscious mind) where they become familiar with their present unwanted or troubling beliefs, habits and feelings. Once revealed and understood (often in the privacy of the client’s mind), these thoughts or inner language can change quickly. This change is facilitated by the repetition of positive suggestions to replace negative self-talk and bring about desired changes.

A little bit about Ear Acupuncture and Deborah Stotzky:
For nearly 5,000 years, cultures across the globe have practiced the holistic form of medicine known as acupuncture. Acupuncture is the insertion of very fine needles into specific points on the body that lay along energy pathways, generating the movement of energy (qi) and prodding the body’s own healing potential.
“Where there is pain there is no flow. Where there is no pain there is flow.” Acupuncture, and other techniques used by acupuncturists, free up blockages in the energy system of the body. These blocks can cause pain, disease and emotional distress. Therefore, when the system is restored to its natural flow, we are restored to health and balance.
According to Chinese medicine, there are 200 points in the ear corresponding to organs and/or areas of the body. When these points are stimulated, the organs are strengthened and nourished. Therefore ear acupuncture can treat an array of health conditions and/or imbalances in the body’s energy system.
Auricular acupuncture is believed to help with detoxification and has a calming effect that restores a sense of harmony. A common ear acupuncture session involves placing very fine needles into 5 specific points in the outside of the ear. 3 of the 5 stimulated points strengthen the liver, kidneys and lungs, which are key organs in the elimination of toxins in the body. This treatment also aims to boost the level of endorphins, or feel-good chemicals in the brain, creating a transforming, long lasting wave of relaxation.
